Biography
Sarma Cakula graduated with excellence from Latvia University Department of Physics and Mathematics in 1984 and holds Ph.D. in 2002. She have two degrees from Latvia University -Computer Science (1984) and Pedagogics (2002). Currently she is a professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. Sarma does research in Computer and Society, Higher Education and Engineering Education. Their current projects are ‘SEMPRE. and TELECI.
Abstract
With the development of new technologies and the necessity to adapt to the new demands of the job market, the need for further education increases yearly. The continuing learning and development of skills throughout their lifespan has become a cornerstone of the modern occurrence of lifelong learning. Extra motivation is needed, as well as easily comprehensible and engaging technological solutions, which encourage to collaborate and to learn from one another. New smart learning individually oriented education technological model has been developed based on human individual perception for fast growing information and big data society.
